The snowman chuckled when he saw
The children in the glen.
Ice skating, sledding, a snowball fight
It made him think of when
His own two children just as small
Made angels in the snow,
Stuck cold icicles in the boots
Of neighbors, friends and foe.
He wrapped his scarf around his neck,
His hat upon his head.
Looked lovingly at nice clear streets,
And put his plow to bed.
